12 February 2014The most successful Debussy piano album ever recorded - and still THE reference recording
After groundbreaking EMI recordings in Ravel, Rachmaninov and to lesser critical acclaim, Haydn and Schumann and some illness, Michelangeli seemed to get a second wind in the recording studio with DG from the early 1970s with a series of finely recorded performances that capture the Italian at his very best.
