The shoes meet my expectations, but I wish that Rockport still sold the far more resilient heels/soles that so cushioned one's joints from the shock of ground-strikes when walking on concrete..

Over the years I have had trouble finding a shoe that fits my short, wide feet with a high arches, but the Northfield fits my feet great and they do not require any break-in plus they are waterproof.
