I had no idea what this book was about and the first few pages nearly made me stop reading since it concerns homosexual rent boys and violent S&M, at least in fantasy form.

If Nicholson Baker and Patrick Bateman had a literary offspring, it would be THE SLUTS
If Nicholson Baker and Patrick Bateman had a literary offspring, it would be Dennis Cooper’s disturbing, insightful and occasionally brilliant novel THE SLUTS.

Honestly I bought this book as a joke, but....
I just wanted to display it on my coffee table as something to joke about when people would come over.

It's whatever.
I grew up reading Dennis Coopers \"George Myles Cycle\" in high school and was always in love with his writing but I have to say going back it is hard to tell if the writing is written in this 'punk' way because it tells the story effectively or just because he's a bad writer and this is all he can muster.

Pretty good
This was a pretty good book, I think it was my first homosexual book I've read, yet alone a first S&M book.

I loved this book, couldnt stop reading it, it is at the same time sexual , intense and funny sometimes.
