As a very old 2nd Amphib Recon Marine, andin 1957, a plank owner in 2nd Force Recon, I thoroughly enjoyed the book.

Great New WWII Book about a Maverick Marine
This book has terrific combat scenes and features a 46-year-old colonel who broke all the rules, became a hero and got away with it, but only for a while.
